Summary: | While en route a distress message was received from the aircraft after which it crashed and burst into flames. The elevators and tailplane were destroyed when the rear pressure bulkhead ruptured at 19,000 feet. The airplane rapidly nosed down and crashed. The bulkhead was weakened by corrosion from a suspected leak in the lavatory. |
