Summary: | The aircraft was completing a cargo flight from Deauville to London-Heathrow Airport carrying 8 race horses. On final approach to runway 28R, the left wing dropped, causing the wing tip to strike the ground. Control was lost, the plane veered off the runway and struck two parked BEA Tridents before crashing in flames into a hangar. Six occupants were killed as well as all 8 horses. |
