Your website is awesome.
I love flying, but I think about the plane crashing every single time. You never know when the mechanic will forget to tighten that one bolt.

At approximately 11:00PM PDT October 29th, a Marine helicopter and Coast Guard aircraft collided mid-air off of San Clemente Island in California. There were two crew members aboard the helicopter and seven crew members aboard the Coast Guard aircraft. All nine are still missing at this time. The nine crew members involved are presumed dead as they are being searched for.

I still remember Flt 255 in Detroit as my pager went off, so I could fly the news media from Chicago to Detroit. I was shocked as we flew over the crash site. But I still remember as if it where
yesterday. I also remember Emery Flight 017, grounding it the day before it crashed in MHR
because of an elevator bolt falling off because some mechanic forgot to put in a cotter pin.
I grounded that plane because of a delaminated window and I could not see the 747 parked in the fog in front of me. I feel that someone upstairs was looking after me that day.

I love planes and plane crashes and I like to look at different sites - I liked the odd accisents page as I find the prospect of a German Shepard crashing a plane or a Vulture killing a co-pilot very strange!

For jon,

'Go-arounds' happen a lot more than you may realize. They can be caused by many things, but most often are caused by an aircraft failing to get off a runway soon enough after landing or two airplanes being spaced too closely together and one is sent around. Also a plane taking off make take longer than expected to get off and landing aircraft are sent around. Not a big deal most of the time.
