Your website is awesome. I love flying, but I think about the plane crashing every single time. You never know when the mechanic will forget to tighten that one bolt. |

I still remember Flt 255 in Detroit as my pager went off, so I could fly the news media from Chicago to Detroit. I was shocked as we flew over the crash site. But I still remember as if it where yesterday. I also remember Emery Flight 017, grounding it the day before it crashed in MHR because of an elevator bolt falling off because some mechanic forgot to put in a cotter pin. I grounded that plane because of a delaminated window and I could not see the 747 parked in the fog in front of me. I feel that someone upstairs was looking after me that day. Capt. P Sachs EX Emery DC8 capt. |
